XWiki 12.0 RC1 Released

The XWiki development team is proud to announce the availability of XWiki 12.0-rc-1.

To start this new year, we have updated a lot of our dependencies, to give some freshness to the whole platform. For administrators, it is now possible to define name strategies for new pages. For developers, the new big change is the upgrade of Velocity to the new 2.2 version, which support new syntax expressions. In addition, more than 40 bugs has been fixed since the release of XWiki 11.10.

vCalc

vCalc contains a library with a list of Calculators, Equations, Constants, & Datasets. Users have the possibility to contribute content to pages, rate and share them on social media. Calculators allow visitors to perform calculations and estimations. The wiki also features a knowledge base grouped by topics and a blog. The vCalc website has a highly customized look and feel and the navigation is enhanced by panels, a custom footer and menu. It's a great example of advance usages of XWiki.
